About the Client:


Established in the 1990`s, this privately-owned business in Atherstone has grown and expanded organically whilst maintaining it`s core ethics and foundations to provide a highly personalised and individual service to it`s customers.


Duties for the role:


  • 80% Payroll and 20 % other Accounting duties (eg Credit Control,Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger)
  • Processing a 4-weekly payroll for over 200 staff for fixed salary and hourly rate wage employees
  • Producing the calculations for Sickness, Bank holidays, Overtime payments and Maternity pay
  • Ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are continually met.
  • Manage a small team
  • Oversee credit control, purchase and sales transactions.   


Experience required:


  • Previous experience in the collation of payroll.
  • A good understanding of PAYE/NI, P35,P45,P60, joiners/leavers, maternity, parternity and SSP.
  • Confident Excel and systems user including strong working knowledge of SAGE Payroll/SAGE Accounts.
  • Knowledge of other accounting areas, eg, credit control, purchase and sales ledger.
  • Enthusiastic in nature, a problem-solver who is looking to join a business for the long-term.



Working hours and Benefits package:


Working Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm

Salary guide c £30000- £35000
