Now entering an exciting new phase of growth, they’re on the look-out for a charismatic, driven sales professional with proven experience in asset finance – someone ready to take full ownership of their own accounts and lead with confidence.

 

What’s in it for you?

 

  • Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (but there is flexibility depending on your needs)
  • Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 plus £500 monthly car allowance and monthly commission, circa £6,000 per year
  • 30.5 days holiday, including 2.5 for Christmas

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

 

  • Generate quality leads by engaging with potential clients over the phone and in person
  • Grow  your portfolio by maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts to drive business growth  
  • Target lenders to support with funding solutions
  • Offer tailored funding solutions, which include qualifying opportunities and selecting suitable lenders
  • Handle all documentation related to the sale, which involves writing credit proposals, preparing quotations, and handling all data related to the agreement
  • Collaborate with the administration team to progress proposals and ensure all documentation is compliant with FCA regulations
  • Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies to increase awareness and business growth
  • Create content for social media, the website, and press releases
  • Utilise LinkedIn to maintain contact and keep up-to-date with existing clients and prospects
  • Maintain the CRM system, ensuring all sales activity is recorded and client information is accurate
  • Create and provide reports on sales activity, pipeline, and performance

 

Business Development Manager Skills and Experience:

 

  • Proven sales and business development experience within the finance industry, with a particular focus on asset finance
  • A track record of developing new business, maintaining a strong sales pipeline, and consistently closing deals
  • Excellent knowledge of the finance sector, with the ability to interpret financial data and produce compelling credit proposals
  • Thrives in a target-driven environment and isn't afraid to showcase strong performance
  • Strong marketing instinct with confident LinkedIn navigation - both an expert and a relatable peer
  • Top-tier communicator with an outgoing, enthusiastic, and professional demeanour, confident in liaising at all levels
  • Naturally proactive and tenacious, with a knack for overcoming objections
  • IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
