Midas Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with this profitable, long-established, friendly, company that wishes to recruit a new Accounts Assistant, for a responsible Accounts Assistant role to ensure the efficient operation of the purchase ledger function.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Working closely with the Finance Manager, this role will suit an individual looking for a long-term position, and will include;

  • Uploading/scanning all purchase ledger invoices,
  • Co-ordinating approval of invoices,
  • Invoice coding,
  • Supplier Account reconciliations,
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers,
  • Ensuring payments are made in an authorised, timely manner.

 

Experience:

 

  • The candidate will demonstrate prior experience of purchase ledger, and will have good financial and administrative skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, you should be a confident, clear communicator able to handle business conversations with suppliers, managers etc.
  • A good knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is requested, together with an attention to detail/accurate approach.

 

Working hours and Benefits package:

 

  • This Accounts Assistant position is a permanent role. Office based, (with free parking), 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • The starting salary is the range £25000 to £28000 (depending on experience), plus 23 days holiday (and bank holidays) and pension.
