Reporting into the Head of Operations, the aim of this Health and Safety Advisor position is to ensure all health and safety best practices, policies and procedures are followed to mitigate risk across this business.

Health and Safety Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Implement and establish H&S policies and procedures to a high standard
  • Ensure strategies and processes are effectively in place
  • Monitor industry trends and legislation changes
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits
  • Prepare and submit findings and analyse data and utilises KPI`s to identify improvements
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and recommend preventative measures
  • Promote awareness and understanding of HSE practices
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HSE programmes
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures
  • Act as a key point of contact during emergencies
  • Mentor and support all staff, to include assisting in monitoring and suggesting improvements

 

Health and Safety Advisor Skills and Experience:

  • MUST HAVE – IOSH Certificate/diploma and ideally be NEBOSH qualified
  • Experience gained in a similar role, with demonstratable and a proven record of using quality tools
  • Essential to have experience of working with 8D, FEMEA, Root Cause, Six Sigma and 5Y associated quality tools and ideally to have experience of SAP
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Strong IT skills with particular knowledge and experience in SAP, Sharepoint and Excel is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with outstanding written ability
  • skills, able to articulate well and communicate clearly
  • Commercially aware and proactive, with a `can-do` attitude and sense of fun
