Our client is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Business Development Manager who is passionate about spotting and increasing sales opportunities.

 

Overview:

 

Our client is part of one of the most successful independent finance businesses in the UK. Specialising in a range of business solutions to SME businesses nationwide they are a dynamic and professional organisation that offers flexible funding solutions to their clients.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Generating quality sales and business opportunities that maximise overall company revenue
  • Cold calling potential customers and identifying decision makers within the company in order to build a pipeline of opportunities
  • Handling objections by clarifying and emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion, using a variety of style to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Planning approaches and pitches that address the customer needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Taking initial enquiries from customers and suppliers, providing information, quotes and processes on the system
  • Packaging proposals to send to funders and following up as appropriate
  • Maintaining and developing existing dealer relationships
  • Maintaining and updating sales, dealer and enquiry reports, working with sales support to ensure data is accurate and up to date
  • Ensuring supplier lists are updated on a regular basis

 

Experience:

 

  • Strong sales focus and motivated to achieve targets
  • Good business sense and an understanding of market principles
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A positive attitude and plenty of initiative

 

Working hours and Benefits package:

 

  • Working hours:
    • Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch break
  • Salary guide: £25,000 plus commission
  • Annual leave - 25 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Group life assurance - 4 x annual salary
  • Pension - 4% employee and employer
