About the Client:


My client sits within the automotive sector and has four manufacturing sites within Europe. The company has proven world class performance and are experts in transfer and progression presswork, welded assemblies, tube manipulation, wire forming and deep drawn components.    


Duties for the role:


  • To provide efficient day to day administrative support to other members of the Department,

namely HR Director, Group HR Officers.

  • Taking general phone calls into the office and dealing with employee queries.
  • Involvement and support in Recruitment and Selection for permanent and temporary positions to include requisitions are authorised, placing adverts (internal / external), liaising with recruitment agencies, raising arranging interviews, preparing offer packs, sending out offer/rejection letters & contracts. Carrying out HR Inductions for Line Managers.  Issuing letters for New Starters detailing holiday entitlement.  Updating the 'P' drive to show live and filled vacancies.
  • Organising and attending Disciplinary Hearings when required, advising on individual cases under the guidance of the HR Officer, taking notes, formulating and distributing minutes.
  • Taking a lead in absence monitoring for a group of companies. Driving the daily monitoring of Time and Attendance at each site / Return to Work documentation and ensure that they are completed. Follow up on any matters arising
  • Liaising with Supervisors regarding absence issues, under the instruction of the HR Officer.
  • Assisting with monthly absence reviews at each site.
  • Liaising with Managers & Supervisors under the guidance of the HR Officer to deal with employee Grievances in line with Company procedures.
  • Dealing with general day to day HR issues
  • Travel to other sites as and when necessary to carry out related Admin. tasks
  • Temporary Labour:- Ensure requisition in place, liaise with agency, check rate agreed, organise interviews / inductions / update temp labour spread sheet.
  • Auditing of HR documentation / files for compliance with legislation requirements as and when required.
  • Liaise daily with HR Officer, HR Manager and HR Director as and when required to inform and update on issues at each site.
  • Attend and support monthly Union meetings with Plant Manager, type minutes and deal with any matters arising
  • Assisting with Long Term Sickness Absence in accordance with Company procedures and review status on an ongoing basis / Carry out home visits / request Doctors' reports / Liaise with Occupational Health Nurse as and when necessary.
  • General updating of employees records and database files in PROIV and Cyclops scanning system



Experience required:


  • Previous experience of working within a HR environment
  • Ideally CiPD Level 3
  • Good administration experience
  • Happy to take on the general day to day duties to keep a busy HR department running efficiently
