We are recruiting for an experienced Customs Broker to join a busy and established logistics operation.
Working as part of a dedicated customs team, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth movement of goods by road, sea and air. The role will involve preparing and processing customs declarations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with current customs legislation.
You will be responsible for managing import and export customs processes, including preparing declarations and transit documentation, entering information into customs systems and ensuring shipments are cleared efficiently and accurately.
The role will also involve liaising with customers, carriers and other relevant parties to resolve queries and ensure customs requirements are met.

Customs Broker Responsibilities:
- Preparing and processing import and export customs declarations
- Managing customs clearance for inbound and outbound shipments
- Completing and checking customs and transit documentation
- Entering accurate shipment and customs data into relevant systems
- Ensuring customs processes comply with current legislation and requirements
- Liaising with customers, carriers and other stakeholders regarding customs matters
- Supporting the wider team with customs-related queries and issues
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy across all documentation and declarations
Customs Broker Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a customs brokerage or similar freight-related role
- Good knowledge of customs procedures, legislation and compliance
- Experience preparing import and export customs declarations
- Knowledge of CDS and customs-related software
- Experience using systems such as Destin8, DataFreight or CNS would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
