Are you an experienced Compliance Manager who thrives on driving high standards and continuous improvement?

 

A well-established and growing manufacturing business is looking for a proactive Compliance Manager to lead its quality and compliance function. Taking ownership of quality systems, industry certifications and compliance processes across multiple sites, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring products, processes and people consistently meet the highest standards.

 

Working closely with colleagues across Production, Operations and HR, you'll champion a culture of quality, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure the business remains audit-ready and fully compliant.

Compliance Manager Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and maintain BRCGS, ISO and FSC accreditations
  • Keep company policies, procedures and quality documentation up to date
  • Ensure the Quality Management System remains audit-ready
  • Support and mentor the Quality Officer in day-to-day activities
  • Plan and carry out internal audits
  • Lead external customer, regulatory and third-party audits
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and implement corrective actions
  • Analyse quality trends and identify training opportunities
  • Deliver compliance and policy training to employees
  • Promote a positive quality and compliance culture throughout the business
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Production and HR teams
  • Support supplier assurance activities and maintain product documentation
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare compliance reports for senior management

 

Compliance Manager Skills and Experience:

 

  • Previous experience in a Compliance or Quality Management role within manufacturing or production
  • A Lead Auditor qualification (BRCGS or ISO) would be highly advantageous, as would experience within the packaging industry
  • Strong working knowledge of BRCGS standards and ISO management systems
  • A thorough understanding of quality, health & safety and relevant legislation
  • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across all levels
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
