An autonomous role, this specialist manufacturer is looking for a Machine/Workshop Operator to join its friendly team on a permanent basis.

Machine / Workshop Operative Responsibilities:

• Use onsite machinery to manufacture specialist products as required by the customer
• Package and prepare customer orders, ensuring all orders are correct and well-presented
• Ensure all sales orders are completed to customer timelines
• Maintain high production standards, looking for ways to improve processes
• Report any issues or potential issues to the General Manager
• Manage stock and waste, ensuring all stock and waste is recorded and stored correctly
• Comply with all health and safety processes, and ensure the correct PPE is utilised
• Undertake any other duties within the workshop as required

Machine / Workshop Operative Skills and Experience:

• Confident using machinery such as guillotines, disc cutters, fly presses and circular saws
• Good understanding of manufacturing practices and good working practices
• Able to make basic calculations around metal dimensions and specifications
• Flexible in your approach, happy to undertake additional tasks and work extended hours when required
• A team player who can be relied upon and is highly organised
• Able to commute to the head office, a driving licence is preferable
