Pricing Analyst Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with the pricing and underwriting team to identify insights and trends that impact pricing models and underwriting processes
  • Support the Head of Pricing and Underwriting with the implementation of the pricing and underwriting framework to support new business and renewals quotes
  • Develop and implement a new pricing engine that meets the requirements of the business and is easy to use
  • Gather data on pricing, claims, and underwriting to produce reports that inform the business of risk, future product development, and its commercial position
  • Collaborate with the commercial to review pricing of new and existing products and identify new markets
  • Identify opportunities to expand reporting across the business and data capture to support with the pricing and underwriting strategy
  • Champion a risk aware culture across the business

 

Pricing Analyst Skills and Experience:

 

  • Educated to degree level and ideally possesses a degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Science
  • Possesses excellent IT skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Analytical and data-driven, able to understand mass data and transform your finding into easy-to-understand concepts
  • Meticulous and solutions focused, able to work on own initiative and shows strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator, able to articulate clearly and confident liaising across departments
