Quality Inspector Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee incoming deliveries to verify the quality, ensure all goods received meet requirements and are as described, and are allocated as necessary
  • Handle all administration related to deliveries, ensuring all deliveries align with delivery notes and are checked in on the system
  • Inform the Quality Manager and relevant departments of any discrepancies or faults with incoming products
  • Monitor outgoing products to ensure quality is as expected and meets customer needs
  • Conduct QHSE inspections and audits on incoming and outgoing products, recording your finding and producing reports to analyse results and resolve issues
  • Work in collaboration with the production and stock control teams, informing them of any issues that may impact their schedules
  • Coordinate all bulk tankers and complete inspections, ensuring all DSR's are complete
  • Maintain and create documents, including supplier return notes, packaging specifications, delivery notes, driver induction records and tank information plans
  • Manage the quarantine area of non-conforming products

 

Quality Inspector Skills and Experience:

 

  • Demonstrates previous experience in managing the quality of goods in, gained within the manufacturing sector
  • Good knowledge of the seven principles of quality management and understands the importance of meeting quality standards
  • It would be beneficial if the successful candidate held a CQI Level 3 and had experience of ISO management standards
  • Commercially aware, strong willed and doesn't compromise on quality
  • Flexible and adaptable, and is able to prioritise tasks and recognises the need for urgency
  • Remains calm under pressure and is confident working on own initiative
  • Strong communication skills, able to confidently liaise at all levels and develop strong relationships with other business departments
